For Session Organizers

The coordinating team is inviting organizations from across the state to co-host sessions in their communities. The first session (March or April 2025) will be 3 hours and focus on gathering inputs through imaginative and interactive engagement. The second session (Summer 2025) will be a shorter in-person follow-up. The third session (March 2026) will be a virtual, optional engagement with the final social housing study.

Our goal is to both advance residents’ awareness of and enthusiasm for quality affordable and social housing advocacy and shape the study.

Session organizers will identify, invite and coordinate at least 10 participants to attend two in-person sessions as a cohort. The coordinating team is looking for tenant organizers and organizations with a commitment to housing as a human right and interest in activating a base to advance housing policy.

All session organizers will be compensated for their time and effort in:

  • Gathering 10-20 people to attend the in-person sessions;

  • Identifying and securing a venue for each of the two sessions; and

  • Recommending vendors for food, interpretation, and childcare.

Terner Center will cover costs and logistics for: food, interpretation, childcare and participant stipends in the form of gift cards ($25/hour for two in-person sessions).
